Moved by Music: An Evening of Inspiring Music to Benefit CCALS
Please join us on Friday, May 5th at Pucker Gallery for an evening of chamber music performed in one of Boston’s finest art galleries. And stroll the galleries to view extraordinary art by over 50 artists from around the world.
Refreshments will be provided.
Proceeds will benefit Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS), a nonprofit organization that supports people diagnosed with ALS, their families, healthcare providers, and communities

An eclectic program of musical selections including works by Haydn, Bach and Gershwin will be provided by Border Colleagues, a trio of performers from three countries – Canada, Spain and the United States – who connect across geographic boundaries to celebrate music-making together.
Cellist Michael Kevin Jones was born in London and lives in Madrid. While studying Music Performance at Royal College of Music, he was chosen to play for the Royal Family and awarded a scholarship to study in Germany. He has toured the world as a soloist, and is an avid teacher and coach. His recording of the Bach Cello Suites for the Metropolitan Museum in New York has been internationally acclaimed.
Pianist Bruce Vogt, professor of piano at the University of Victoria, Canada, appears regularly in concert as a soloist and chamber musician. With a repertoire spanning the 16th century to the present, he has performed across Canada and in England, the U.S. Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, China and Japan, and has recorded many albums.

Flutist Thomasine Berg, based in Boston, has performed from Wichita, Kansas to Seattle, Washington; from Qualicum Beach, British Columbia to Las Palmas, Canary Islands; and in Earl’s Court, London and Winkhausen, Germany. She took a mid-career detour into journalism, landing at the Boston Globe where she served as classical music editor. She is delighted to be back in the company of performers.
