The 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk in honor of David Leys, Jr. takes runners on a breathtaking USATF course that begins and ends at the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, RI. In  addition to being a fundraiser for the Norman Bird Sanctuary, the 5K honors David Leys, Jr., a native islander who was a force behind the race from its inception, and a great supporter of NBS. Runners are encouraged to donate to Compassionate Care ALS in Dave’s name. David has been a longtime friend of CCALS since he was diagnosed in 2013.
