Peter J. Paulousky, 69, of Franklin died peacefully following a courageous fight with Bulbar ALS on December 31 in the V.A. Hospital at West Roxbury, MA.
Born in Milford, October 22, 1951; the son of the late Felix and Claudia J. (DeMarchi) Paulousky. He was the brother of the late Paul R. Paulousky.
He was a graduate of Xaverian Fathers High School, Holliston, MA. Attended St. Francis de Sales Seminary in Wisconsin before enlisting in the US Air Force. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an MBA in Public Administration from Bryant College. He earned his JD from New England School of Law in 1992.
After working for 17 years as a police officer for the towns of Franklin and Wrentham, he went to work as a Dade County Prosecutor in Miami, FL. In 1996 He returned home to Franklin to practice law at Gilmore, Reese & Carlson, PC until accepting a position as Assistant Attorney General in Boston. In 2004 he accepted a position with Doherty, Ciechanowski, Dugan & Cannon, PC in Franklin. He continued working in Franklin with Doherty, Dugan, Cannon, Raymond and Weil, PC until his retirement in 2017.
Peter was a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather. He spent his life doing the things he loved. He participated in the sports of fencing and Jujitsu. He loved to ride his bike, and more recently could be seen around town on his recumbent bike. He played guitar, ukulele and recently learned to play the lap steel guitar. He was very proud to be a volunteer musician at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston where he brought comfort to many patients and their families. He also taught and played ukulele at the Franklin Senior Center. He loved to bake breads and croissants (the best ever), making sure there were enough for the kids to grab whenever they visited. He loved to travel and would often take cooking and baking classes wherever he visited. He loved spending time with his family and friends. And he especially loved doing magic tricks for his beautiful granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Panciocco) Paulousky, his son Michael Paulousky of Newton, his daughter Jenifer Stark and her husband Gershon of Barrington, RI and his granddaughter Alessandra Stark.
A private funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, in Saint Mary’s Church, Franklin.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
