Event Information

The annual Comm Ave Charity Classic features a hockey game between longtime rivals, Boston University and Boston College with all proceeds benefiting Compassionate Care ALS in honor of Dick Kelly, Pete Frates, Ron Perryman, and all those affected by Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The participating players are all Boston College and Boston University alumni.

In its inaugural year, the Comm Ave Charity Classic raised over $55,000 for Compassionate Care ALS. The game was played at historic Walter Brown Arena in front of a capacity crowd of 3,500 spectators. The game featured 27 current or former NHL players, 3 Hobey Baker Award winners, countless All-Americans, 2 Stanley Cup winners and 2 NHL Hall of Famers.

We thank the players, the Boston University staff, the volunteers, the sponsors, the donors, and all of the fans for making the first year so memorable. We look forward to seeing you all in 2016!
