Anne K. Shea, 71, of West Falmouth, formerly of Newton and Tampa, FL died peacefully surrounded by family on August 31, 2015 after a courageous battle with ALS. Anne was the daughter of Mr. William J. Kirk and Alice G. Kirk. Anne was the wife of the late John T. Shea, Jr. and is survived by her sons and their wives, J. Timothy and Christine of Palm Harbor FL; Edward J. and Gina of North Falmouth; William K. and Sharon of Falmouth; and Christopher M. and Sarah of Norwell. “Gamma” dearly loved her grandchildren:  Ailish, Tadhg, Lindsey, Danielle, Connor, Kevin, Kaileigh, Matthew, Charlotte and Maren.

Anne was the sister of the late George L. Kirk and his wife Pamela of Portsmouth RI; William J. Kirk and his wife Joyce of Falmouth; David G. Kirk and his wife Ann of Sudbury; Mary K. Smith and her husband Robert of Falmouth; and the late Joseph P. Kirk and his wife Rebecca of Falmouth. Anne is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Anne grew up in Newton and spent her summers in New Silver Beach and West Falmouth. She is a graduate of Newton High School and Lesley University in Cambridge. Anne was an educator in the Hillsborough County school system for many years. She had a love of music, laughter, and most of all people.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, Sep 3rd at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (Route 28A), WEST FALMOUTH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, Sep 4th at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd, North Falmouth. Burial will follow at the North Falmouth Cemetery.
