A lifelong resident of New Hampshire, Susan was born on August 7,1970, the beloved daughter of Paul DeLamater and Pamela Warren. She attended John Stark Regional High School and graduated in 1988. Susan built a life with her husband, Michael L’Esperance, and their daughter, Michaela. Her drive and work ethic resulted in a successful career. Her early career began at the New Hampshire State Hospital, and she retired from Verizon after more than 27 years, where she was a valued team member and created life-long friendships.
She possessed an adventurous nature and a deep appreciation for experiencing all that life had to offer. She loved the freedom of the open road with Al on their motorcycle, listening to Country music with each mile bringing something new and unexpected. Susan truly embraced living, following her diagnosis she declared 2024 ‘The Year of Sue’ with the song While You Still Can by Brothers Osborne as her anthem when she embarked on a cross-country road trip, visited the islands of Hawaii, cruised the Caribbean and Mediterranean and explored the Alaskan coast.
Susan lit up every room with her sassy spirit and will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family. Susan was especially grateful for the birth of her twin grandchildren, Aurora and Dalton, and for the time she had to spend with them.
Susan is survived by her husband, Al, her loving daughter, Michaela (L’Esperance) Jolicoeur and her husband, Codi, of Kingston, grandchildren Aurora and Dalton Jolicoeur; her mother, Pam Warren, of Bow NH, sister Sara Scotto and brother-in-law, Jamie, of Granby, CT, sister-in-law Diana Nelsen and husband, Peter Proxee, of Beaverton, Oregon, several aunts, nieces and nephews, countless friends, and her loyal dog, Sedona.
