Christine Jean (Josselyn) Holmes of West Bridgewater passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife and best friend of Donald R. Holmes, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage.
Born on May 4, 1970, in Stoughton, Christine was the beloved daughter of Robert Josselyn and Carol McCarthy and the beloved stepdaughter of the late Richard McCarthy, who loved her as his own.
Christine dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her work as a daycare provider and in the way she loved her family and friends. She attended Massasoit College and carried her natural warmth and compassion into everything she did.
She had a special love for the beach, where she found peace and happiness, and she cherished every opportunity to travel and make new memories. Above all, Christine’s greatest joy came from time spent with her family, especially her adored grandson, Cole, who was the light of her life.
Christine is survived by her husband Donald; her daughter Nicole, son-in-law James, and grandson Cole; her son DJ Holmes, her mother Carol McCarthy and her siblings Robert Josselyn, Tanya Delorey, Pat McCarthy, Heidi Louhit, Hope McCarthy, Holly McCarthy and Heather Mendonca. She will be remembered always for her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love for those closest to her.
Visiting hours will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 S. Main St., West Bridgewater, on Saturday, October 11th, from 12:00–3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
