Richard Alan Guild, 69, of Yarmouth Port, Ma died on April 12, 2024, after a long journey with ALS. He was the oldest of 5 children born to Carolyn (Crabtree) and Edward Guild.

Rich graduated from Barnstable High School in 1973 then earned his Associates degree from Cape Cod Community College. Then began a long career in banking, starting as a teller in 1975 at a small branch of Falmouth National Bank located in the Cape Cod Mall and retiring from Cape Cod 5 in 2018 as a Vice President. He and his wife Doreen married in 1976, a 47 year union that blessed them with 2 children, Laura Feth (and her husband Chris), and their son Matthew. They were rewarded with 3 grandchildren; Travis, Lilian and Cameron.

Rich had a love for the game of golf. As a member of Old Barnstable and Hyannis Golf courses he won 6 championships.

Rich loved to travel, especially his many golf trips with his friends and his wife. He was happy to have had the opportunity to play so many great courses, most especially Kapalua in Hawaii.

Rich loved his family, friends, trips to Disney World and sports. He was the Captain.

The family wants to thank all of his caregivers, Deb Pizzuto, Kelly Fonseca, William Howley, Beacon Hospice and Compassionate Care ALS.

Calling hours will be Saturday April 20, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 concluding with a memorial service at 4:00pm.
