Sunderland, MA — Michael J. Holloway, 63 of Sunderland, MA passed away Tuesday (10-11-2022) at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He was born in Greenfield, MA on May 7, 1959 the son of Norman and Audrey (Leslie) Holloway. Michael was a graduate of Pioneer Valley Regional School in 1978. He worked early in life for the Greenfield Recorder as a photographer and that became a life long passion, doing weddings and events. He then became a printer at Channing Bete where he worked for 20 years. He is a graduate of the corporate training center of Chicopee, MA pursuing IT and serving as a Network Manager for both the Pioneer Valley Regional and Gill-Montague Regional School districts. He loved spending time at his pool and was an avid Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins fan.
He is survived by his wife Gay Baker, son Trevor and his fiancee’ Taylor Kain of Northfield, son Elliott and his husband Isaac Holloway-Dowd of Denver, CO and stepson Ryan Martin and his wife Kristen of Charlemont. He is also survived by his brother Daniel and fiancee’ Rebecca Linnell of Northfield and a sister Cindy. Lastly, a proud grandfather to Justin and Greyson Martin. He was predeceased by a brother John. Mike passed comfortably surrounded by family and loved ones.
Funeral Services will be Friday (10-21-2022) at the Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave. Northfield, Ma. at 11:00 AM. Rev. Jeanette Streeter will officiate. Burial will follow in South Parish Cemetery, Winchester, NH.
Calling hours will be Thursday evening (10-20-2022) from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
