THOMAS, Mark Redmond Long-time resident of Medfield, died peacefully October 28, 2018 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Mary “Mimi” E. Thomas (née O’Kane), father of Mark D. Thomas, Elizabeth M. Thomas, and Katherine M. Thomas. Loving son of Jean E. Thomas (née Grady) and the late Matthew L. Thomas. Brother to Laurence Thomas, Cletus Thomas, Rosanne Thomas, Nina Thomas, and Robert Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Mark received an economics degree from Stonehill College and later went on to receive his MBA from Northeastern University. He will also leave behind many loved co-workers at Hord Crystal Corporation of Pawtucket RI, where he worked for 19 years. Mark will be lovingly remembered by his family as a man of simple pleasures; an avid reader, outdoorsman, lifelong learner, and Boston sports fan. Funeral Mass Friday, November 2nd at 10:30 am at Our Lady, Star of the Sea Parish in Marblehead, MA.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Compassionate Care ALS, an organization dear to Mark’s heart. Although he is no longer with us, he will continue the fight against ALS by making an anatomical donation to the Massachusetts General Hospital’s ALS Clinic/Neurology Clinical Research Institute.
