Kenneth Scott Rosenberg, known affectionately as Ken to his beloved friends and family, left this world on June 18, 2025, in Seattle, Washington, after a courageous battle with ALS that culminated in a brain hemorrhage. Born on March 7, 1955, in the bustling city of New York, Ken’s life was a testament to the power of resilience, intelligence, and love.

Ken’s journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to his family and his work. His loving wife Wendie Gorenstein Rosenberg, his sons Evan Daniel and Adam Lyle, his brother Steven and his parents Harriet and Morton Rosenberg, stood by him as pillars of support. The joy of his life was further multiplied by his cherished grandchildren, Gavin and Adelina. Adding to the richness of his life was Ken’s extended family, including his brother and sister-in-law, David and Claire Gorenstein, along with his nephews, nieces and spouses: Tony Hewitt and Hilary Gorenstein, Colin Gorenstein, Mitchell Rosenberg, Monica Rosenberg, (Alex), Melanie Rosenberg (Charles).

Ken’s educational journey began at Stuyvesant High School in New York, followed by his BA at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a Master of Business Administration at University of Maryland, College Park, MD. He was not just a student of academic institutions, but also a lifelong learner, always keen to engage with the world’s complexities.

His professional life was as varied as it was successful. Ken launched his sales career at Clairol, and his remarkable talent soon led him to the Mars Candy Company where he spent 25 years. Ken’s career path took many interesting turns, with him selling everything from pallets to vitamins for Vita Fusion, skin care for Say Yes To, and finally, as the sales director for Almond Roca in Tacoma. Throughout his diverse career, Ken’s intelligence and loving nature shone through, endearing him to colleagues and clients alike.

Ken’s interests reflected the rich tapestry of his character. He was a man deeply rooted in the culture of Judaism. A true connoisseur of life, he loved current events and remained engaged with the world around him, participating in Telos at Bellevue College until recently. His poker group was not just a pastime but a circle of camaraderie, filled with laughter and late-night banter. Ken was also a master chef of sorts, with his smoked and barbequed meats or fish being the highlight of every family gathering and holiday.

An impeccable planner, Ken meticulously charted out trips that took him to the romantic landscapes of Greece, the historic streets of Italy, the charming countryside of France, and across all 50 states—with Alaska being the only one that eluded him. His love for movies like ‘Top Gun’ and ‘Saving Private Ryan’ reflected his passion for stories of courage and valor, much like his own life.

As we remember Ken, let us draw inspiration from his own words. Whenever anyone phoned him and asked, ” How are you,” he responded with, “This is the best day of my life!”

He lived his life with a courage that defied his circumstances and an intelligence that illuminated the lives of all who knew him. Ken was, above all, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend whose spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched. Today, as we bid farewell to Ken Rosenberg, let us celebrate the indelible mark he made on this world. His story does not end here, for in our hearts and our actions, the essence of his being will continue to inspire and move us all. Ken’s life was a beacon of what it means to live fully, love deeply, and leave a legacy of joy and resilience.
