Dear friends,

Jon died yesterday morning in his sleep after a long and valiant struggle with ALS. He painted right up through last Friday, the last two weeks using a paintbrush attached to a head bracket.

Next Saturday April 26th at 12:30pm a film, JON IMBER’S LEFT HAND, will be shown in the Boston Independent Film Festival at the Somerville Theatre. We may have a gathering following the showing.

A celebratory memorial service will be held on May 18th at 4pm at the Danforth Museum in Framingham, MA. A beautiful retrospective of his work is up at the Danforth through the 18th.

A show of painting from the last ten years, “Force of Nature,” will be on view at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, Maine, from May 24th through July 6.Opening may 24, 4-6
