The 4th annual Ernie Kampersal One-Pitch softball tornament was held recently and the family of Ernie Kampersal was thrilled yet again to see the support for the tournament and especially for our father Ernie. This year's winners were The Legion of Boom, as they beat out last year's winners Tom's Crew in the finals. It was also very heartwarming to be able to share the tournament again with our dad.
The tournament is used to raise funds for some of the family of Ernie Kampersal to run in the Falmouth Road Race on behalf of Compassionate Care ALS. CCALS is a nonprofit organization that offers individualized support to those currently living with ALS, their families and caregivers. In addition to helping their clients navigate the complicated logistical and emotional considerations that follow an ALS diagnosis, CCALS provides heart-centered listening and the voice of compassion as families grapple with difficult choices.
On behalf of the family, we'd like to thank all the teams who participated and would like to recognize some of our special freinds. Paula at Outpost Farm, the ubiquitous Mr. P of Depot Package, Kevin of Long Distance Tire, Holliston Men's Senior Softball League, The Men's Evangelical Softball League, the Green House of Mendon, our cousin Kerry who has supplanted his dad as the heads groundkeeper at Kampersal Field. Thanks Kerry, the field always looks so great. Chris, Kerri, Rob, Karen, and Darlene who manned the grills. You too Choo-Choo!
We hope to see everyone again next year!
Our Sincere Thanks,
The Family of Ernie Kampersal
